The presence of the Hong Kong International Airport combined with the opening of the Hong Kong– Zhuhai–Macao Bridge1 have put Lantau at the centre of Hong Kong's international and regional connectivity, with the island also forming the hub of a one-hour intercity traffic circle within the Greater Pearl River Delta2
